Campaign concept
EpilepsieNL
For the major course Concepting, I worked together with my teammates Daleela, Lyan and Joan on ‘Stop de stilte’ / ‘Stop the silence’: a creative awareness and fundraising campaign for EpilepsieNL. Our goal was to break the taboo surrounding epilepsy and motivate more people to take action and start their own fundraising initiatives.
The campaign builds on a strong, emotional contrast: silence as a metaphor for the hidden and often unspoken impact of epilepsy. With the slogan “Elke aanval is een aanval te veel” / “Every seizure is one too many”, we translated this into a concept that is both visually striking and socially impactful.
During the process, I contributed to shaping both the conceptual framework and the visual execution. We developed a consistent identity across all campaign touchpoints: from the hero video and social media challenge (#StopDeStilte) to out-of-home posters, flyers to spread awareness in schools and the design of an interactive action platform.
My role focused mostly on the visual design choices: color, typography, and imagery, that communicate clarity, urgency, and empathy. By combining minimalism with strong contrasts, we ensured that the message remains accessible, impactful, and aligned with EpilepsieNL’s brand identity.
This project allowed me to combine conceptual thinking with visual storytelling: transforming research insights into a campaign that is not only respectful and empathetic but also activating and recognizable.
The research document can be sent over by me if wanted!
